Sector AveragesUnderstanding Today's Foam Report
The Foam Report is a daily snapshot of where value and speculation sit across the market. Each stock's Beer Score measures the percentage of its current price that is backed by real fundamentals — earnings, revenue, free cash flow, and assets — derived from SEC filings and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis.
When a stock's Beer Score rises, it means the gap between price and fundamental value is narrowing — the stock is becoming more "beer" and less "foam." When the score drops, the price is moving further from fundamentals, indicating more speculation in the market.
How to Use This Report
The Foam Report is designed for investors who want a daily check on market sentiment vs reality. Use the Deepest Value column to find stocks where price closely tracks fundamentals. Use the Most Frothy column to identify where speculation may be elevated. Compare sector averages to see which parts of the market are trading closest to intrinsic value.
